Indie meets Pop meets Rock meets Garage meets Chanson...

Three years after the album "Oscar" THE TRUFFAUTS ("...the kings of the niche-Rock'n-Roll." (ROLLING STONE ****) ) now follow up with "Chez Simon".

On "Chez Simon", the 13th album of the TRUFFAUTS, you can even look forward to the most wonderful slide guitar solos ("Avant de partir") or a shot of glam rock ("When the tide goes out").

Perhaps this noticeable joy of playing is also due to the fact that THE TRUFFAUTS are again at the start as a trio. Besides the two original TRUFFAUTS Jean-Jacques Boucher (bass, vocals) and Ronald Chateauroux (git, vocals), Mr Accèle now completes the band on drums. The fact that he likes the drums à la 60s (he played with the Satelliters) makes the sound and the catchy pop songs of the TRUFFAUTS even more exciting.

"Chez Simon" contains eleven songs, among them, well of course and bien sûr, again three French pieces. So it's no wonder that people wondered for a long time, "are THE TRUFFAUTS francophiles or Frenchmen far from home"?

In the meantime, we know that THE TRUFFAUTS come from Nuremberg and were inspired from the first album on by their love of France, French film, the Nouvelle Vague and especially the unfortunately early deceased director François Truffaut when forming the band.
